Transatlantic utilizes a number of proven translation memory software programs (Computer Assisted Translation tools). These systems are particularly suited to the translation of technical documentation (e.g., manuals, handbooks, user-guides) and are also ideal for use with high volumes of work like legal texts. This is NOT to be confused with machine and computer translation.
The memory software assists the translator by scanning all old and new texts, and searching its own database for similar or matching vocabulary or segments. It is a highly effective tool when translating or updating documents containing any degree of repetition.
